Hammer Time

Perhaps the best way to understand how quickly and dramatically your game will improve when your swing is connected is to imagine that you're trying to hammer a nail into a dense hardwood. The most efficient and natural motion is to swing the hammer on a single swing plane with your elbow as the fulcrum of that plane. Ideally, the hammer moves along a consistent swing path that intersects with the top of the nail for a solid flush impact position. The nail in driven straight into the wood.

Now imagine how much more difficult it would be to drive the nail if you took the hammer back on a different swing path or you moved your elbow position to take your swing off plane. You'd be forced to re-route the hammer's path in an attempt to hit the top of the nail flush. Clearly the number of solid hits would be minimal and the impact would rarely be both on-plane and on-path.  An off plane golf swing is just as inefficient.  Solid impact that delivers long, accurate shots is rare. Eratic replaces consistent. By keeping your swing connected the Swing Jacket trains your body to repeat a perfect on plane swing.

The Swing Jacket eliminates the cause of most swing flaws - automatically

Disconnection is the root cause of most swing flaws. Here's why. When your arms get away from your body or out of sync with the rotation of your torso your swing becomes disconnected.  The instant your swing is disconnected your club moves off-plane, just like the hammer described above. Once your swing is off-plane your body must devise a way to re-route the club just so you can hit the ball.

Over-the-top, casting, outside-in, chicken wings, reverse pivots, etc. etc. are examples of the clever ways golfers bodies have learned to re-route the club. But they are not the real problem.  They are just symptoms of a disconnected swing. And every one of those ‘tweeks’ or accommodations sacrifices distance, accuracy and consistency.  Worse, they make the swing more complicated so it's harder to be consistent and it takes more practice to keep your game in top form.

The reason golfers struggle to improve is they have been focused on fixing the symptoms rather than the root problem.   You can't fix over-the-top if you're still disconnected.
